Supporting children with a christian education

Joy of Christ School is the only Christian school with in a moslem populated community of Nakakonge Kayunga district. Our services to the community are beyond academics but also raising a Christian God fearing generation through our school programs of evangelism and chapel fellowships at school through which many moslem students have accepted Christ and their parents as well. Hence a school based church was birthed that is minatering the spiritual needs of the community.

Education is one of the long term gift we can give to kids living in countries below the poverty line. It's also a way of preparing them for the future opportunies. By donating to education, you are giving these kids books, a school uniform, pens and paying a teacher.

daily nutrious meals and clean water

Each day, we provide these children with daily nutritious meals at our school. Because of the increased poverty in the families living in the community around us, this meal is important, as this is the only meal these kids are able to get in a day.

We are working on building a borehole which can provide safe drinking water for the children at Joy of Christ Primary School and the communities around us. This will prevent our people from suffering diseases like typiod and cholera.

Farming training

Joy of Christ orphanage is also practicing farming on a small scale basically we grow food for our children at school and keep cattle that provide us with milk to our children for a good diet. Our future goal is to grow into a bigger demonstration farm that can help the entire community with good breeds of crops and animals, teaching our community better methods of farming using local manures to grow enough food for their families and stop the season after season famine in Nakakonge community.

Through our trainings, our children have learned skills which they take home through school holidays to improving the yeilds and the end solidify sustainability in their homes
